About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at creditbright.com, all courses, tools, and services offered by Credit Bright Solutions Inc. ("Credit Bright," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using any part of Credit Bright, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
Credit Bright Solutions Inc. is a federal corporation incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act, registered in British Columbia.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account or use Credit Bright. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 16 years old and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to update it if it changes. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at privacy@creditbright.com.
Credit Bright reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms.
What we provide
Credit Bright offers online credit education courses, interactive tools, and related services designed for the Canadian market. Our current offerings include the Foundation Course, the Getting Out of Debt course, the Negotiating Better Deals course, the Credit Calculator, the Credit Simulator, and the AI Credit Advisor.
Each course includes a pre-assessment, interactive lessons, and a post-assessment. Students who pass the post-assessment earn a Credit Bright certificate for that course. Students who complete all three courses and pass all assessments earn the Credit Bright Master Certificate.
Not financial advice
Credit Bright provides credit education. We do not provide financial advice, credit counselling, debt management services, investment advice, or legal advice. Our courses, tools, and the AI Advisor are educational in nature. They are designed to help you understand how credit works in Canada. They are not a substitute for professional advice tailored to your individual circumstances.
The AI Credit Advisor provides general educational information based on Canadian credit principles. Its responses are not personalized financial recommendations. You should consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions based on what you learn through Credit Bright.
Credit Bright does not sell credit products, does not earn affiliate commissions, and does not receive compensation from any financial institution.
Purchases, pricing, and refunds
Courses and bundles are available for purchase on creditbright.com. All prices are displayed in Canadian dollars (CAD). Payment is processed by Stripe at the time of purchase.
All purchases are final. Because our courses and tools are digital products that are accessible immediately upon purchase, we do not offer refunds. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing a purchased product, contact us and we will resolve it.
Credit Bright reserves the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes do not affect purchases already completed.
Promotional codes
From time to time, Credit Bright may issue promotional codes that provide free or discounted access to courses and tools. Promotional codes are subject to the terms specified at the time of issuance, may not be combined with other offers, and may be revoked at any time.
Organizational access
If your access to Credit Bright is provided through your employer or another organization, your use is still subject to these Terms. Your sponsoring organization may receive reports on your enrollment status, completion rates, assessment scores, and certificate status, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Certificates
Credit Bright certificates are issued to individuals who pass the post-assessment for each course. Certificates represent that the holder has demonstrated competence in the subject matter of that course as assessed by Credit Bright. Certificates are non-transferable.
Credit Bright certificates are issued by Credit Bright Solutions Inc. They are not issued by, endorsed by, or affiliated with any government body, regulatory authority, or financial institution unless explicitly stated.
Intellectual property
All content on creditbright.com, including courses, tools, assessments, Credit Notes, the AI Advisor, text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Credit Bright Solutions Inc. and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may access and use Credit Bright content for your personal educational purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any Credit Bright content without our prior written consent.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: share your account credentials with others, attempt to access courses or tools you have not purchased, use automated scripts or bots to interact with the site, interfere with the operation of the website or its infrastructure, use Credit Bright content to create a competing product or service, submit false information in your account or assessments, or use the AI Advisor to generate content for commercial purposes unrelated to your own credit education.
The AI Credit Advisor
The AI Advisor is powered by third-party artificial intelligence technology provided by Anthropic. The AI Advisor is trained on a fixed Canadian credit knowledge base. It provides general educational responses. It does not provide personalized financial advice.
The AI Advisor may occasionally produce responses that are inaccurate, incomplete, or not applicable to your situation. Credit Bright does not guarantee the accuracy of AI Advisor responses. You should verify any information before acting on it.
As described in our Privacy Policy, we record metadata about your AI Advisor usage but we do not store the content of your questions or the responses you receive.
Availability and changes
Credit Bright aims to keep the website and all services available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, update, or discontinue any course, tool, or feature at any time. If we discontinue a product you have purchased and have not yet completed, we will provide a reasonable alternative or a credit toward another product.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Credit Bright Solutions Inc., its directors, officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Credit Bright's services. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Credit Bright shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Credit Bright in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Credit Bright Solutions Inc., its directors, officers, employees, and partners from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of Credit Bright's services, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
Third-party services
Credit Bright uses third-party services including Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI), and Netlify (hosting). Your use of these services through Credit Bright is also subject to their respective terms of service. Credit Bright is not responsible for the acts or omissions of any third-party service provider.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if it cannot be modified, it shall be severed. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Credit Bright Solutions Inc. regarding your use of our services.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of Credit Bright after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
